Education and Credentials
Bruce earned the Bachelor's degree in Social Work from University of Southern Maine in Portland, where he received the Presidential Scholarship, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Scholarship for Honors Students, and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He earned the Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Simmons Graduate School in Boston. At Simmons, Bruce earned advanced placement and received the Iris Macrae Award for excellence. The MSW is accepted for licensure in all 50 states for practicing psychotherapy.
He holds the LICSW, the license to practice psychotherapy in Massachusetts. LICSW stands for: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. The LICSW is given only to those who earn the MSW from an accredited institution, complete at least two years of full-time employment under a licensed supervisor, pass an extensive license exam, maintain the highest level of ethical and competence standards, and continue to improve their skills through continuing education.
Bio
Bruce is the youngest of four children born to immigrant parents from Maritime Canada. He grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and spent most of his teen years working at his father's gas station.
He loves to swim, he loves to design and build things in his workshop, and he loves his work. He and his partner have been together since 1991.

- Before becoming a psychotherapist, Bruce was a successful graphic artist.
- Bruce has a history in auto racing and uses his experience and training to teach concentration skills to race car drivers. He has developed a workbook and CD for drag race drivers.
